Cliff Notes To Transracial Adoption

“This was by far the safest space I have ever experienced, learning about my own racial identity as a white mom and how I can navigate tough conversations about race and racism with my child.”

~ Mary, class participant

This day and a half workshop on the Cliff Notes to Transracial Adoption, offers a safe space to share with others and…

  • Discuss the difference between CULTURAL AWARENESS vs. CULTURAL COMPETENCE. Learn helpful tools to identify racial barriers.
  • Review DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES OF RACIAL IDENTITY in transracially adopted children. Are the stages different than children who are adopted into same-race families?
